What has happened to the Fear or Favour podcast?
Our extended break has turned in to a very extended break due to hectic work schedules for all three of us. We very much enjoyed creating Fear or Favour and may well return at some point in the future, but for now we have hit the pause button.
Thank you all for listening and especially to those who supported us via our Patreon page. We have decided to suspend our Patreon page to ensure that no new supporters subscribe and also so that Patreon doesn’t collect any more donations from active supporters.
Thank you for listening.

Fear or Favour is hosted by Nazir Afzal OBE and Mark Williams-Thomas MA, PG Dip.
Nazir and Mark know a thing or two about Crime & Justice. Having spent a combined 50+ years at the top of their prosecutorial & policing careers, they finally share their unflinching, unfiltered thoughts on the issues of the day. Neither allowed ‘Fear’ or ‘Favour’ to interfere with their pursuit of the truth. Nobody & nothing is off limits in this true crime podcast.
Nazir is a former Chief Crown Prosecutor and was Chief Executive of the England’s Police & Crime Commissioners. During his 24-year career, he has prosecuted some of the most high-profile cases in the country. Nazir has led nationally on several legal topics including violence against women & girls, child sexual abuse, and honour-based violence.
Mark is an ex-police detective turned investigative reporter and child protection specialist. Mark is best known for exposing prolific paedophile Jimmy Savile and for his work on the Madeleine McCann case. Mark regularly appears on television and has his own series on Netflix, ‘The Investigator: A British Crime Story’.
